When do profiles become available? +
Profiles and wish lists are sent the week of November 10. You can sign up anytime before then and you'll be first in line when they're ready.
What's the difference between Adopt a Family and Adopt a Senior? +
Adopt a Family connects you with a family with children in the Kansas City Metro or Columbia, MO. Adopt a Senior connects you with an older adult in our communities in Kansas City or Des Moines, IA. Both programs work the same way — you receive a profile and wish list, shop, and drop off gifts by December 13.
Can my company or group participate? +
Yes — many teams adopt multiple families or seniors together. Email holidays@phoenixfamily.org to talk through options and logistics.
When is the gift drop-off deadline? +
All gifts must be dropped off by December 13, 2026 to our home office at 3908 Washington St., Kansas City. Schedule a drop off time here.
What if I can't adopt but still want to help? +
A donation to the holiday fund is a great option. Every dollar supports local families and seniors and stays in the Kansas City community.
