Phoenix Family's Adopt A Family provides families and older adults in our communities with a Christmas they cannot afford for themselves. We match families with generous donors who "adopt" them for the holidays. Each sponsor receives information about the family along with an individualized wish list. Every gift goes directly to the family you adopt.
Every year, sponsors from across the United States email us to adopt a family in their state. While we appreciate their generosity, please know that currently we only offer the Adopt A Family program in the Kansas City Metro and Columbia, Missouri.
Gifts may be dropped off between December 2 and December 13, 2025.

Yes! Many groups—departments, Sunday School classes, or extended families—adopt together.
Yes. You’ll receive several profiles to choose from, and can select the one that feels right to you.
Families provide wish lists with sizes, preferences, and gift ideas. You choose what you’d like to give.
Gift cards are optional—some sponsors include them, others do not. It’s up to you.
All deliveries are curbside for safety. Schedule your time slot and staff will assist with unloading.
Absolutely! Nonperishable food or cleaning supplies are always welcome.
